The Job:

To report to the Regional Director of Managed Network Services and be responsible for the management and technical direction for the customer as well as the day-to-day Network Engineering activities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Tactical network planning and overall field engineering services for the LAN environment
  • Network documentation preparation to include network drawings, standards management, configurations, operational support plans for key network environments and standard practices,
  • Constant and aggressive management of the operating budget
  • Consistent deployment of engineering standards across the account
  • Provide consulting services for various projects, advising management on tec problems, interacting with management and customers on a regular basis
  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintainance and troubleshooting or enterprise networking equipment such as routers, concentrators, switches an related peripherals.
  • Introduce process initiatives to improve the network provisioning methodology while reducing the overall cost of providing network services.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years experience in data communications/networking industry at least 10 years in managerial experience
  • In depth knowledge of local, metropolitan, wide area networks as well as concepts, processes and procedures in several fields of technical activity
